For you, the funnest part of League of Legends is spending your IP on buying new champions. You’re so good with numbers and projections that you basically only play Hearthstone to calculate how your opponent’s going to move. You snap up CS:GO skins … just to flip them for a profit. And you genuinely think that esports are the sports of Generation: Digital—so you can’t understand why more brands haven’t jumped in.
If esports is your dream gig, but a lack of relevant roles has you hocking ad space elsewhere, you’re the player we’re looking for.
YOUR MISSION:
Media planning is young in the esports industry, so you’ll help us build a coherent working model from the ground up. Other stuff you’ll do:
- Follow and track esports tournaments and existing leagues
- Monitor competitive gaming sites and news in both France and abroad (from Reddit to Esports Observer to Melty’s Esport Club)
- Exercise your working knowledge of major web TV sites in both France and abroad, including O’Gaming, Millennium, MLG.TV, ESL.TV and more
- Keep an eye on rising streamers across platforms, including Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Dailymotion Games, and Hitbox
But your real mission will be to use your savvy to develop sustained working relationships with our partners, as well as form new ones, to negotiate the best possible ad deals for our clients. Your maniacal media buy strategy will be key to ensuring our media plan is coherent with clients’ marketing objectives and our creative ideas, in addition to being super-relevant for the esports community.
YOUR PROFILE:
A committed esports fan and/or player who wants to turn that passion into a career. You have media agency experience and ideally have worked on international accounts. Your English is strong enough to hold a professional conversation with our partners (teams, tournaments, leagues, publishers), and you love engaging with people in the community. You may not be a pro-gamer (yet), but you’re a pro at navigating between different ad offerings—and their tricky rates, which don’t fool you at all (CPM, CPC or CPA? Don’t make me laugh!).
MORE DETAILS:
- Salary: Experience- and skills-based
- Type of job: Full-time in freelance or for a short-duration contract (initially six months). A full-time contract can be discussed when this contract expires.
- Location: Paris 12e
- Position for the first quarter of 2016
Send your French or English resume, social links, and info about what games you like to play@hurrah.fr (subject: Hurrah for Media Planning! — Your Name Here). Include a quick email about why we should pick you. (None of that “To Whom It May Concern” stuff.)
GL, HF.
